Baring any last minute change of plans, the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS)’s 16th Annual Delegates Residential Congress will begin on the 16th of August and end on 20th of August at the Winneba campus of the University of Education.

The Congress which will be held under the theme

“Professional Education: the Key to Entrepreneurial Impact on the Socio-Economic of Ghana”

It is expected to bring on board National Executive Officers of GUPS, SRC/Loc. NUGS/GUPS executives, leaders of other student unions as well as some accredited observers.

Some speakers expected to be addressing the students that will gather at the central coast of Ghana for the program include the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the host University, Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Plan (NEIP), Lawyer John Kumah, the Member of Parliament for the Afutu Constituency, Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markins, Director General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Archibold Cobbina and the National Youth Organiser of the Ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr. Sammi Awuku.

Some activities penciled to make the program lively include sight seeing, beach soccer, games and entertainment, leadership summit. Google Ghana and NEIP will train students on the use of google; certificates from the giant search engine and NEIP will be awarded to participants.

It will be crowned with an election of the 2017/2018 leaders of the union.
