The National Union of Ghana Students on Saturday 1st June, 2019 interacted with the member institutions of the Ghana Union of Professional Students in the Greater Accra Region on their inputs towards the reformation agenda to revive the spirit of quality activism at the National Union of Ghana Students and the Ghana Union of Professional Students which will improve the state of how the unions in the country are being organized.

The meeting which took place at the University of Professional Studies brought on board student leaders from the Wisconsin University College, University of Professional Studies, Africa University College of Communications ,the Ghana Institute of Journalism, the Ghana Institute of Languages, Jayee University College, Knustford University, University College of Communications Accra Campus and the National Film and Television Institute to discuss the challenges at the student front and what can be done in resolving it for the next generation.

Student leaders showed much appreciation for the GUPS Consultative Forum organized by Mr. Justice Aboagye Sarpong as they appreciated his contribution in bringing GUPS closer to NUGS as they also congratulated the Tinkaro Asare Osei led administration for their work in reviving the spirit of the National Union of Ghana Students.

The National Union of Ghana Students in the coming days will be organizing such consultative fora across the regions for such engagements to garner input on how to reform the student movements in Ghana to better align them with prevailing student needs.

NUGS is committed to the interest of students and we will continue to fight for the welfare of Ghanaian students.
