The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) as part of our commitments towards helping eradicate graduate unemployment and also create more opportunities for student entrepreneurs, on Thursday, 20th December, 2018 paid an official visit to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneur & Innovation Plan, Esq John Kumah. The visit was to officially introduce ourselves as the current NUGS executives and also to enhance on the existing relationship with the agency.

The CEO in his address made us aware of the successes the agency has chalked in the last 2 years. Lawyer John Kumah stated that NEIP has helped more Ghanaian youth to establish and manage their own businesses and still looking forward to helping more youth to set within the context of Ghana’s long-term strategic vision of consolidating its middle-income status, building an industry-driven economy capable of providing decent jobs that are suitable and sustainable for development.

The CEO, Lawyer John Kumah, was pleased to announce to NUGS the plans of the agency in creating the Tertiary Entrepreneurship Initiative across the various universities nationwide. This initiative is to help bring all student entrepreneurs together for a more closer relationship between the students and the agency. The agency is looking forward to partner with NUGS for a proper coordination and formation of the clubs in the various institutions nationwide.

The NUGS President, H.E Tinkaro in his address to the CEO, Esq John Kumah expressed his appreciation to the CEO for accepting to meet the union and stated that NUGS was impressed with the successes of NEIP and their contributions towards making entrepreneurship among the youth a prime focus. President Tinkaro further applauded NEIP for the idea of setting up the Tertiary Entrepreneurship Initiative nationwide and the need to partner with NUGS in making it a success. NUGS assured them of our readiness to make the initiative a success.
