The Women’s Commissioner of NUGS, Ms Vida Opoku Agyemang is set to represent Ghana in the UN GIRL UP Leadership summit happening from the 18th – 23rd April, 2019 in Kenya.

Girl Up is a global movement of empowered young women leaders who defend gender equality.

Through leadership development training, Girl Up gives girls the resources and platform to start a movement for social change wherever they are. Girl Up was founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010, and continues to work across a global community of partners to achieve gender equality worldwide.

The Summit will serve as a training platform for her to equip young female Ghanaians to further project the aims and aspirations of the Girl Up Foundation.

It is for this cause, that we call on all Ghanaian students to offer relevant suggestions and comments on the movement above so she can make quality and comprehensive input as she travels to Kenya and also to support the Women’s Commissioner in whatever she seeks to do for the good students of Ghana while in Kenya.

NUGS is committed to serving your interest and we will continue to uphold the directive principles that governs the Union.
